• Seam appearance or seam performance, adhesives, caulk or other accessory items. Once the product is installed, the two main reasons for seam separation or cracking are the shifting or movement of the substrate, cabinets or foundation, and thermal shock. Thermal shock can occur when a hot pain, dish or other receptacle or object is left on the countertop for more than a brief period. Trivets or hot pads should always be used. Care & Use

• For every day cleaning use a soft sponge or dishcloth with warm water.

• For stubborn or greasy clean-ups use a gentle liquid cleaner like Mr. Clean, 409, Simple Green, Fantastic, etc. or ordinary dish washing detergent (like Palmolive) with warm water and a “White Scotch Brite”

• Never use red or green Scotch Brite on Arista Quartz as they contain aluminum oxide and may dull the stone’s finish.

• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents such as regular Comet and Ajax.

• Though most common household cleaners have no effect of Arista Quartz, but never allow your Arista Quartz countertop to come in contact with drain cleaners, paint strippers or products containing Hydrofluoric acid, Methylene chloride, Trichloroethylene or any product with a very high or very low pH. These types of chemicals may etch or discolor the surface of Arista Quartz.

• Arista Quartz is scorch resistant and under normal conditions is not affected. Always use a trivet or hot pad between Arista Quartz and any heat generating device including but not limited to crock pots, deep fryers, air fryers, hot pots and pans, electric skillets, etc. Sudden or rapid change of temperature or sustained heating, especially near edges and cut outs, may create enough thermal expansion energy to cause your countertop to crack. Damage caused by thermal expansion is not covered under the Arista Quartz warranty.

Care & Maintenance Cont.

Maintaining your new quartz countertop is easy. In most cases, soap and water or a mild detergent is all that is required to maintain its luster. If necessary, apply common, non-abrasive, household cleaners on a cloth r sponge and wipe the surface rinsing thoroughly after cleaning.

SPILLS

Sometimes spills occur and dry on the worktop. Materials that harden as they dry, such as gum, grease, nail polish or paint should be removed by gently scraping away the residue material with a blunt plastic scraper. The quartz surface should be cleaned with a household vinegar/ water solution (always follow the manufactures dilution instructions) or with a non-abrasive cleaning pad (such as a white 3M Scotch-Brite) together with a non-bleach, non-abrasive liquid cleaner and rinse thoroughly with clean water. Surface should d be dried with a clean white paper towel or white cloth.

RESISTANCE TO STAINS AND CHEMICALS

Quartz countertops are non-porous, so spills and stains are not absorbed into the surface, making it stain resistant, but NOT STAIN PROOF. Permanent markers/inks and some chemicals, solvents (e.g. acetone, paint thinner, nail polish remover) or dyes may, however, cause permanent discoloration to the surface and should be avoided. Should these agents come into contact with the surface wipe up immediately and rinse with plenty of water.

DO NOT expose, in use or otherwise, quartz surfaces to abrasive, strong alkaline, acetone, acid, free radicals, oxidizers, or the like (whether high neutral or low pH) cleaners. Avoid exposing your tops to harsh chemicals!

DO NOT use or expose quartz surfaces to such products including but not limited to bleach, oven cleaners, Comet Æ, Soft Scrub Æ, SOS Æ, products with pumice, batteries, paint removers, acetone, nail polish removers, furniture strippers, oil soaps, tarnish, or silver cleaners, or the like. DO NOT use abrasive or harsh scrub pads.

DO NOT apply any sealers, penetrants or topical treatments to quartz surfaces under any circumstances. Such products will wear off and cause the gloss to appear dull or inconsistent

HEAT RESISTANCE

Quartz countertops ARE NOT heat proof, chemical proof, or fracture proof in any form. To maintain the beauty of your quartz countertop, DO NOT place hot skillets or roasting pains, air fryers, etc. onto the surface. Also be aware of the potential damage to the surface by heat generating appliances such as electric grills, crock pots, toasters, etc. Industry recommends the use of trivets and hot pads to prevent heating the top. Certain exposure to heat may cause cracks due to thermal shock.

CUTS OR SCRATCHES

Avoid using knives directly on the quartz surface. Quartz countertops are scratch resistant, but they are not scratch proof and can be damaged when forcefully hit with sharp objects. Use a cutting board placed on top of the countertop to avoid damage. Avoid sliding heaving pits and pans and or other heavy items across the countertop.

With a small amount of care, your quartz surface will look as great as the day you bought it for years to come!
