Porcelain has a unique manufacturing process. Porcelain countertops are made from natural clay that is fired at extreme temperatures, giving it heat resistance, durability, and the flexibility of manufacturers to create it in different colors and patterns.
Porcelain slabs have a variety of benefits such as durability, heat resistance, UV light resistance, easy maintenance, and more!
Because porcelain slabs are fired at such high temperatures (2500 to 3000 degrees F.) it offers more heat resistance than almost any other material. You can set hot pans directly on porcelain countertops and you can even put induction stove tops underneath if you prefer a minimalist look!
At almost 30% harder than granite countertops, porcelain is very, very durable which allows it to be scratch-resistant. You will not need to worry about porcelain maintenance the way that you have to take extremely good care of marble.
On that same note, due to its durable and non-porous nature, porcelain is easy to maintain. They don’t need to be resealed regularly or scratch-protected, surface wipes will leave porcelain countertops spotless!
