Arista Quartzite Countertops

All about Arista Quartzite

Arista quartzite countertops are some of our most popular materials. Their durability and beauty are unlike any other stone. Not to mention, they come in a myriad of translucent options, making them a gorgeous option for a countertop or even something less traditional like a staircase.

Arista quartzite is sourced from quarries that we have personal relationships with. They are the highest quality materials on the market and we can typically find a quartzite material that aligns with your budget, although they are more on the expensive side. Quartzite slabs are often exotic and rare stones that are high value but that shouldn’t deter you from choosing this material!

Now, you are probably wondering, ‘I thought quartz and quartzite were the same. What is the difference?’ Well, quartz and quartzite really could not be much different. While quartz is an engineered stone that typically mimics the look of marble, quartzite is a natural stone that is made from sandstone pressed into the earth’s crust. While quartzite typically does not mimic the look of marble, the way that it is made is similar to marble.

As a natural stone, quartzite is durable, and naturally resistant to etching, staining, and heat, although we always recommend taking care of your quartzite, cleaning it regularly, and re-sealing it once per year.

Quartzite comes in a variety of colors with different levels of transparency and veining options. It’s often easy to spot due to the way that its veining will sometimes reflect a landscape or other image found in nature such as the ocean or a meadow. Quartzite colors can range from neutral creams and browns to vibrant blues, greens, and oranges. The colors differentiate due to the diverse minerals found in each batch of material that we get. For example, typically quartzite found with various pink and red tones can have more hematite than creamy-based quartzite.

We invite you to stop by our showroom and our warehouse at 695 West Elliot Road in Tempe, Arizona, to view these materials in person.

White, blue, beige, red, and black quartzite are a few of our favorites but we also offer a very popular quartzite called ‘Fucshite’ and even one called ‘Petrified Oak’ (it looks exactly like it sounds). Taj Mahal Quartzite is our most popular of all and a favorite greater phoenix countertop.

Quartzite is relatively easy to maintain as we recommend keeping it clean with some soapy water and sealing it right after installing and once every year after.
